How can you be sure they were hunter gatherers? Were they perhaps fishermen or fish farmers? How mobile and how settled were they? How long would it have taken to construct the circles?

They certainly would have been fishermen using traps but the area lying between forest and coast was unsuitable for farming . The period of construction was circa 2000 BC .
