Is there anything I should know before I go to look at my local SMR ?

There are some sites up on the moors above me which are stone semi-circles butting up to the limestone scarp. I would love to introduce them into the corrals discussion but am not sure how old they are. I have been told that the archeos have documented them so I figured the SMR is the way to find their age.

Does anyone have any tips for me before I get out of my depth in all that info ?
