You've lost me there FW. I was replying to your comment that, "Messianic behaviour is not the way to promote your ideas." - to which I whole heartily agree.

Seems to me that messianic behaviour is the hallmark of the three main monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) as well as the plethora of New Age cults; and again I agree with you when you say that, "My gripe comes from people saying they think they can detect/measure something and claim it's some magical/supernatural force and then do not listen when someone suggests a valid explanation or tells them what's wrong with their theory."

The above three religions have claimed for a long time that they can 'detect' something, even though they have never been able to 'prove' anything, and when history has shown again and again that they, "...do not listen when someone suggests a valid explanation or tells them what's wrong with their theory." they still continue, as with modern messianic cults, in their delusion.
