Just a suggestion but why not Stoney Littleton at sunset? it's orientated nw to se, and though like Stanton Drew its probably focussed on water it would be interesting, though slightly spooky. Stanton stones - I took a photo of everyone of them, and what struck me is that they have been reused from different times, probably because of the original timber settings of the site. Or to put it more logically Stanton is like Stonehenge captured at the last phase of its stone settings.....

I might get to SL on the 22nd for sunset, I havn't got the holiday to take the 21st off work sadly... Whereas its my mates bday on the 21st so I've had to take the 22nd off for my own sanity!

I do agree SL for midwinter sunset should be good, I was there half an hour before sunset a few weeks back and it was a gorgeous site.
