It's an old fish pond :-(

Odd that they happened to build it so that it points directly to the stone circle in one direction and a cairn in the other.

That fish-pond is very interesting (on Megalithomania), what would it be doing in that area, is the land part of a gentry estate or something? The stone pair look pretty authentic too to me.
