Irish RA is pretty much 'unsung' innit?

There seems to be bog all in the way of stuff written up about it. Apart from a Shee-Twohig (sp?)paper, I can't recall ever seeing any publications that gather sites together.

Seems a fine example of a subject that is much better represented on the internet than it is on paper. And even then, that seems mostly restricted to megalithomania, tma and some bits and bobs by Mr Weir. So well done you :)

Some cracking good stuff there FW, now added to my flatfile on open air Irish RA, waiting for the day when the Hobs hire a campervan and eventually get over to your side of the sea.

Martin Van Hoek has a done a couple of papers on "The Prehistoric Rock Art of Donegal" (Ulster Journal of Archaeology) Belfast City Library have them. He also did "the Spiral in British and Irish Neolithic Rock Art " & "The Rosette in British and Irish Rock Art". Avril Purcell wrote "RockArt Landscape of the Iveragh peninsula in "European Landscapes of Rock Art" .
Another writer who has published is Blaze o' Connor but I havn't read her yet . Enough there to keep you up for a couple of night s Hob not that you get much kip these days .
