>Another concerned a God who created the world when he was pissed.

Did he awake in the morning groaning "I'm never going to do that again!" ? ;)
I do hope he gets back onto the megalithic culture but then its hard to find any real evidence that these monuments were ever built for religous purposes or worship of any partiular dieties.
There is astronomical evidence for some sites but nothing that proves the people worshipped the stars-sun-moon-planets etc

Sorry I got it wrong.
The God, Obalata was given the task of creating the earth, he had some plans given to him by the sky God plus some mud, a chain and a five- toed chicken. Anyway he ended up going to a party and got smashed on palm wine. It was his dodgy brother who built the world by chucking the mud down and letting the chicken scratch it about.
Obalatas punishment for getting pissed was to create mankind.

Hello Ishmael, I have found the 'Dog Star', (Sirius) to be the more prevalent alignment at the sites I have visited. Occultists such as Howard Lovecraft, Aleister Crowley and Austin Spare all refer to Sirius worship in an age long before the Solar disc was introduced. Is it possible that the standing stones of Great Britain are far older than the pyramids of Egypt?
