Just twiddling my thumbs here, looking for something to whinge about. I've noticed an article in a pamphlet about last May's 'Fabulous Finds Day' promoting taking your finds to a museum and the portable antiquities scheme.
"Bill Wyman, who launched Fabulous Finds Day at the Museum of London, said: "I've been researching the history of my house and the local area in Suffolk for the last ten years. The oldest thing I've found is a Roman crossbar brooch from the first or second century and I've found coins, part of a Bronze Age axe and Tudor buckles.. blah blah blah"
Could be misreporting. Or just utter ignorance on BW's behalf. Surely the former, surely.
carping over.
