A lot can happen in a couple of thousand years. The Vikings and Saxons were as far removed from the Bronze Age as we are from the Romans.
The had galleys, we have nuclear powered aircraft carriers.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that Scandinavian Bronze Age boats had Greek rams that simply went out of style over a few thousand years. I wish I could draw on this forum so could show exctly what I'm getting at.
