Many thanks; excellent link. A close looks at the maps by Kurt Lambeck (pages 18 & 19, I think) shows some interesting progressions. At 14,000 ya there was a lot of exposed Celtic Sea; by 12,000 ya it was mostly gone but there was a lot of exposed western channel; by 10,000 ya the whole area was more or less gone. So where did the inhabitants go? During the Younger Dryas (dates vary, but say 12,500-11,500) no one would want to live thereabouts: but before and after, it was quite habitable. So where did the Celtic Sea people go?
On the other hand, Doggerland was largely habitable up to 7,800 ya, and Dogger Island remained habitable for hundreds of years after that. So where did the Doggerlanders go? And if, at least partly, the answer in each case is Britain, then the next question is, how did they get on with each other?
Could be some stories here.
