Yes the mass movement/invasion stuff is largely debunked old hat and yes our obsession with shopping/stamp collecting/train numbers et al is a hunter-gatherer trait we just can't shake off.

Does this mean that trainspotters are henceforth recognised as valid members of society, and to be feted as a consequence of their determined expression of our ancestoral lineage? I do hope so (not that I am - or ever was - one of course, I just get tired of the codification of harmless types into societical less-than-we-are's).
