Ya i like it, one of the stones is about 2m high id say and its surrounded by hills on all sides with lots of notches in them for the sun to come out of or set in. Worth a look for sure and the best in north tipperary. I have the north tipp archaeological inventory at home so will write up a full description of it and resize the pics.

Trying to remember if I have the North Tipp inventory or not. I have most of them, but not all and it's a bit difficult to remember exactly which ones I have. Will check tonight. I want to go back to the Timoney Stones soon, so I may well include that circle too. Nice one!

I just looked at the OS map for this site and realised I actually tried to find it a couple of years ago. The problem I had was that I couldn't park easily at the base of the hill in the forest.

Assuming I can manage that this time around, is it best to approach up the public footpath to the east or the farm track to the west? I seem to remember that I couldn't see the latter last time. Have you been to the tomb & boulder burials about 7km south of the circle?
