Start off by looking in,
www.english-heritage.org.uk for National Monuments Register or NMR and www.ads.ahds.ac.uk which is Archaelogy Data service, not forgetting a short e - mail to your local authorities Archaelogy Dept. If non of 'em know of it I am sure they would be glad of your information.
