David's Cairn

Who said I dug it up ? I took out a narrow trench down the edge of one wall to determine how deep the foundation stones were. The stone cairns were probably used as horizon markers for a small site which is now lost. I'm building a fieldstone wall in front of the cairns which will bar them as horizon markers anymore. It seemed like a good idea to look at them before closing this avenue of research. There's a small upright stone associated with them, I found and the stones go 15" into the peat. Where do you think I am - in the middle of Long Meg ?

That's why I said sorry if I've read this wrong. The quote said you'd excavated it.
