Squareheads ... The rectangular object at Kirkhaugh is still listed, on the SMR, as Smallhenge. I've never seen a plan of a Four-Poster stone circle analysed geometrically but it seems odd that they are described as circles. As well as small henge there is also a rectangular construction inside the Castlerigg stone circle. There are rectangular holes found in standing stones that it would be handy to attribute to that period.
