Question for you students of Garlic
I'm currently following a path that may possibly combine the Old Wife or Cailleach and an axe production area.
My question
I have seen two spellings for the axe factory at Killin, one is Creag na Caillich and the other is Creag na Caillach. Does anyone know if Caillich/Caillach is related to Cailleach?

Hi Fitz , all the same word for , hag , old woman , or metaphor indicating winter . Lots of rocks are named after her and there is often a Bodach (old man ) nearby too.

Don't know if these help, but it's a slightly different spelling, confirming the "old woman" translation.

I've also seen, somewhere that escapes me, it translated as "the witch".
