Chalk towers

As an extension of the circles under churches, does anyone know of any church towers lined with chalk other than the Revd. Thomas Twining's Wilsford ?

Anyone know why it was done ?

Is it pure chalk or chalk covered flint nodules that haven't been knapped off? There must be loads of churches built with flint.
