I dont really beleive that this statement is particularly helpful - responsible detectorists are not "nicking" finds

Indeed they aren't Co. But it illustrates something I have a bee in my bonnet about - he said detectorist, and meant non-reporter, you heard detectorist and thought he included reporters.

On that simple basis a thousand rows are based - bet it's happening on Britarch right now.
