There IS no reason not to go to the gig!!!

Yeah, Jane heard back in the spring that they were hoping to stick the stones up in the summer, mebbe even (at least partially) as some kinda public event. Never heard any more about it tho & as far as we know it's not happened. Mebbe me & J should truck up there when we get a chance....

I kept on hearing that, even from Gill Hey, the local archaeologist (although I think she's moved on now).

I also heard (from the archaeo in the Oxon Museum Stores) that they were hoping to get funding for the erection of the Ascott-under-Wychwood burial chambers in the village. The stones are presently lying on pallets within the museum store.
