it was liberated on Christmas Day 1950. when it came back to Scotland then, I think Baillie Robert Gray made more than one copy, one of which ended up back in Westminster

I'm with you in this one Andy- I thought there was at least two fakes- one being the cludgie cover that currently sits in Edinburgh Castle.
The real Stone of Destiny was, I thought, up in Dull. Holy Grail underneath Rosslyn Chapel (along with many other things if you believe all the stories), King Arthur underneath the Eildon Hills- there- easy!
