I do archaeological dowsing. I often go out with some people who have a fundamentally different idea of the physics behind dowsing and are getting surprising results. (No comment on whether they're right or not). I'd be interested to see your ideas, to see how they compare

I did some dowsing in my garden yesterday (as I live near Thornoborough Henges and have some peculiar bumps). It was quite interesting and I look forward to doing more research with metal detector and geophys before getting permission from my landlady to dig some of it
