Buying OS maps

close

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy second-hand OS maps? Ideally I'd like to do it on-line.

Also, has anyone had any experience of a company called 'Mapkiosk' (http://www.mapkiosk.com). They seem pretty cheap for new maps (£5.50 per Landranger) but perhaps someone can recommend a cheaper retailer. This lot don't do second-hand maps.

Are you talking about 'old' (ie antiquarian) maps, or just tatty nlrs ('no longer requireds') ?

For the former, ABEBOOKS can turn up some surprises. For the latter, I scour the normal secondhand bookshops and boot fairs.

Baggins Books in Rochester, Kent has a huge selection of recent and older landrangers and explorers. They may have a web site, a google should bring them up...

sometimes you get lucky

Thanks for the ideas. I'll follow them up.
