Well just when I thought that we were having a reasonable discussion... how insecure can you get?

Point is I am not alone and you have all sorts of stuff on your so "pure" site that is not only Romano-British but well and truly medieval/modern. I'll not bother you again - Bye

Hi,

Your not alone. But this is their site and their rules.

It's a shame that other sites could not be added. Like I said before some of these these others sites and locations could shed alot of light on recognised sites nearby, bringing it all into context.

I cant see why a dubious site section could not be added and an overlay added to the Map Browser.

What about a one page TMA duboius page section. With links only to pictures and text on your webspace like I did for Spaniorum Hill (possible) Long Barrow http://www.severnbeach.com/tma/

So for example: All on one line

Site Name
Roman, Duboius, Norman etc. (Tick Box with Other or drop down)
Link to source of info:
100 Charater comment box.

So TMA is not losing any contributions and it retains its connections with contributors. And it can achieve this with minimal work.

Remember if nobody added anything this site would be nothing.

Regs,

Ike

This has come up so many times before that it's getting really boring. It would be wonderful for there to be other sites, similar in resource-power to TMA to cover everything you are interested in. This site, however, will not facilitate that for you.

Well excuse me but I found that quite unreasonable. How presumptuous is it to assume that just because you're into something, we should facilitate that interest?

All those contributors who feel like they are pushing against the restraints of TMA should get together and set up a site where they might further those interests, as FourWinds has suggested - and intends to do. AFAIK, before TMA there wasn't a community-based site like this (early incarnations of Andy Burnham's sites weren't really contributor-based). Now that there is, it doesn't mean you can use it for whatever purpose you want. Nor does it mean that I or we will build/extend this site to accomodate those interests.

Off for some sunshine,
H.
