I've said similar to a lot of people - I like playing Devil's Advocate. It's a good point though.

I agree that people suffer as much from walking in Dublin than sitting in a Dublin bar - and I know where I'd rather die slowly :-)

A survey/test released the other day found that people sitting in traffic queues in their cars are far more at danger from traffic fumes than people walking/cycling through them. The fact that most of Dublin drives Mercs/BMWs with air-con seems to make no difference.

yup, I'm all for it too, ban both cars and smoking in public places I say!
I wonder what he'd say to that once his reductionist equation is zeroed...some dudes spit in the wind only when they are certain the spit won't drop back on their faces
