Yes, I have a copy of The Modern Antiquarian, as well as an Aubrey Burl book a friend lent to me ("A Guide to the Stone Circles of Britain, Ireland and Brittany"). The former is the gold standard, of course, but the latter looks good too.

No, this isn't a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I imagine that it will be more of an annual jaunt until I finally make up my mind to immigrate.

To give you a bit more structure for your suggestions, let me tell you that I'm already booked for an evening at a friend's in Melksham on the penultimate night, and will be spending my final evening in London.
