come on. I admit I've got a pair of zippy trousers hidden in my wardrobe (acquired not bought, mind). I've seen enough people in them. They are de rigeur for striding across soggy moorland surely.

and I never go anywhere without a notepad just in case I have an Important Thought. However using pencil works just as well as fancy stuff on waterproof paper (unless it's absolutely pouring).
