Have you tried Long Meg,it is just north of Penrith.You can drive straight in and should have no trouble with access to stones.Hope this is of help.

Long Meg is a good one - and so amazingly massive too! On a dry day you'll have no problem with wheelchairs, except for a few bumps. The road goes right through the circle, so even without going onto grass you can be almost in the middle of it.

Castlerigg has kissing gates.

We just want to say thanks for all the replies so far. At the moment, we are a group of 4 disabled people with various impairments - looking for other disabled people to join us who are interested in pagan sites and are committed to - or are interested in finding out about - the Social Model of Disability. This says that society disabled us, not our bodies or minds. If society removed barriers to our participation then we would all be equal.
