Most photographically fortunate of Morfes,

I reckon you're right. Checked in a mag.
It might have tipped the balance in making the decision to save up, but having to buy new lenses as well... (Deep sigh)

Was it worth it though?

A few companies make EOS compatible lenses now.

The EOS lenses come in two types. The only difference is the internal motor. Some have ultra-sonic motors, the cheaper ones don't.

Some of the 'cheaper' ones have good surprisingly optics.
