I agree with you Wotan, especially the bit about belonging to a community. And I like to look at people's profiles and to find a photo of them there, it makes me feel I know that person just a little bit more. I know this site is primarily about the stones, but it is inescapably about people, too.

absolutely about people - look at "runover Gibbon" for example - hope RG's little un isnt put off trekking!

I'll have to put my money where my profile is and get my own mugshot up - now that is scary!

A: No it's not, in fact, it's actually a good way to accidentally blind yourself.
