European Photos

I've just found out I'll be in France till November (sadly leaving Carnac mid sept though). I'll be fiddling with my years fieldwork when I get home. Whilst we're on the subject does anyone know anyone who does negative to cdrom transfer for cheap? Got a few films from the start of the year that I didnt get developed direct to Jpeg...

That's a difficult one. I certainly wouldn't recommend buying a slide/negative scanner to scan them yourself unless you have a lot of time and patience in cleaning up the images. I did negative transfer via Kodak Photo CD a long time ago but it's not cheap.

I've always found scanning the photos with a decent flatbed scanner gives good results if done carefully, with a bit of subtle sharpening.

Recently I've been getting Truprint CD-ROMs with my films as they are developed (1.99 a go) and the quality is very good. Saves masses of hassle.
