Had a fascinating time in Germany. Got to see 'die Externsteine' (thanks to RG) which was HUMUNGOUS and BREATHTAKING. Also *nearly* got to 'die Siebensteinehauser' yesterday due to a tip off from a squaddy who I got talking to, see: http://www.41herstel-hohne.studio-7.nl/Winterstijn/Siebensteinhauser.JPG (this is the only image I can find) but was VERBOTEN to enter the forest due to live shells being fired by NATO forces on exercise. So we went to Bergen Belsen (which is literally right next door) instead. Bloody hell..... no wonder I feel like a "hardened logmeister".
