6 Hours cycling, no problem. Mostly off road as well.

Using a bike is the best way to visit sites in and around the UK. Even if you drive to a point and do a 30+ mile loop.

I have a couple of mountain bikes. A lightweight one for the city and a sturdy one with steel rims, left in a very remote bothy, for the country. I expect the keepers will have vandalised this one, in some subtle way, over the winter. I don't ride them much but treat them as sculptures and they inspire me as 'beautiful machines'.
