I would tend to agree, but it would be interesting to peruse the archives.

There was a Priory at Avebury and at Trusloe (which has recently been converted to a house after being an old barn for years) and Winterbourne Monkton was started by the monks of Glastonbury.
I have seen a Beckhamtopn avenue stone dug up when a house renovation was taking place in the high st a few years back.
The NT car park is on top of a Saxon village which was excavated in the 1960's and there is the remains of a Roman village on the side of Waden hill overlooking Silbury.
The oldest building inside the stone circle is the thatch cottage in Green st which was saved from destruction after a lot of similar houses were removed by the NT in the 60's.
