I got the key to the "apron full" last weekend, oh my lordy..
Couldn't help notice the erosion to the carvings on the left hand side of the tomb. Yet on the right hand side the carvings were distinct and in relatively good condition.
Is the concrete construction channelling the wind, salt and sand up the left side of the chamber and sandblasting the whole affair. and if so Why then lock the gate, at least vandals can shelter the carvings and perhaps protect them under their spray paint.
