You can just see the smallest of the three cairns peeping over the big central cairns left shoulder.

A beacon of white shining out far and wide, now that the trees have gone, (I didn’t know it was on the edge of a hill) where have the trees gone I hear you say, Fangorn came and took them all off to safety.

Carreg Wen with it’s surprising information board, surprising because of it’s, shall we say, out of the way position.

From Pen Lluest y carn, you can see all three cairns

The two main cairns, one is hollowed out the other is not.

Looking along the ridge over the smallest of the three cairns

Looking over the most northerly of Pen Pumlumon Fawr’s cairns to Pen Pumlumon Arwystli, where there are three more cairns, and the north cairn there is much smaller than the other two.

Top of the world.... that is the Cambrian mountains.
