The vehicle tracks in the foreground are passing over a ploughed out barrow (just about visible on the ground) shown on a 1890 map.
The somewhat park-like setting is due to the fact that this was the estate of Tilshead lodge, a minor stately home demolished in the 1950s.

Near here were found a small carved chalk pig(?), the articulated skeleton of a sheep (goat?), and an infant burial.
