Campaign to protect the Bullring Henge in DerbyshireThe Bullring henge in Dove Holes, Derbyshire is in need of protection and the love it deserves. It has survived around 4500 years but could be gone in the next 50. I have started a campaign to try to protect it. Much positive support already received from people all over the world. If you can help in any way or if you just have a message of support then please contact me. Blingo_von_Trumpenst [email protected] The single page article about the Bullring in the 1905 Derbyshire Archaeological Journal ends with the line: "Can we save it?" - 106 years later I am answering that question - "Yes, Yes, Yes" |

It's the saddest place i've ever visited, the only megalithic site i've seen i'd call a dump, a total disgrace and a shame on the local council, they should be strung up for letting such a valuable national site become a place where letting your dog shit and burning your old sofa is acceptable, and the norm. I doubt anything will change, the locals are too busy impregnating their sisters, to care. Do not venture there if you only have 5 fingers and 5 toes. |

Truly great news - I have just been asked to write an 800 word article on the Bullring with photos for the July edition of 'Derbyshire Life' magazine !!!! Whooohooo !!!! This will be superb promotion for my campaign and will be read by a large amount of Derbyshire residents. I am hoping to be able to announce some MASSIVE NEWS very soon. Keep your eyes peeled . . . Thanks for the thought Chris. The carnival is in August and I will be speaking to the local community in July. I have met several locals recently and they are very keen to protect the henge and raise awareness. I have found all the locals I have met to be most appreciative. Took some stone axes last week and bumped into all sorts of people!! I suspect they are the first stone axes to be within the henge since 2000BC . . . BIG NEWS VERY SOON . . . Rock on Blingo_von_T |
