Apparently they have all sorts of beneficial attributes, not least to wild life. I do believe fragments of neolithic nettle rope were found inside Silbury when the conservation work was being undertaken a 2/3 years back.
I grow nettles ...
Must be June, Stoneglove has tonnes of them!
