Stone Circle

Castlerigg (Stone Circle) by Hob Light Art Performance Photography (a.k.a. 'Waving torches at things') at Castlerigg on the evening of 13/08/09.
And before anyone starts wondering why it's not in the 'Artistic/interpretive' category of image here on TMA, that's because it's a photograph. Nothing has been added in by editing software, just a bit of colour tweaking during conversion from RAW format.

More examples of the same kind of thing at some other sites can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/hobsonish/collections/72157621878294009

The other photo is rather lovely too. What self-respecting stone circle wouldn't want one of those at its centre? I think you may find a queue of people commissioning you to travel the country. Rhiannon Posted by Rhiannon

Cheers youse :) It's good fun to do, and it can help clear a bit of space at a crowded site. There were actually quite a few people there that night, due to some meteor shower being overhead. Hob Posted by Hob

really great picture, mad thing is there is a light there behind the stone with the spiral, me and a friend saw it, [we had had a massive blast of salva, but i can assure you it was really there, i never said anything to my mate, to see if he would see it indepenpently, he certainly did!!!!!],i think this is the reason your pictures have an element of real truth about them! you could make callanish look fucking amazing. Thanks, i really enjoy your pictures, have you thought about a book, i would definitely buy it, you could call it "megalithic lights", now that would be hitting the nail on the head. bladup Posted by bladup
