| The carving on the Andle Stone referred to by others is split into two sections, carved side by side as follows:- 1st Carving Field - Marshall Duke Of Wellington Died 14 Septr 1852 Aged 82 Years 2nd Carving Lieut - Colonel William Thornhill 7 Hussars Died 9 Decr 1851 Aged 71 Years Underneath is carved Assye 1803 Waterloo 1815 T Masters I know it's hardly neolithic but I thought worthy of record |
