Ancient Village / Settlement / Misc. Earthwork

Fieldnotes

I'm gonna be cautious and call this a hut circle. It's a circular embanked earthwork approx 8m in diameter with no obvious entrance. It sits on a promontary above the popular picnic spot of Sheepwash. I would love to call it a ring cairn but due to the wrecked nature of the site I can't quite bring myself to do it. fitzcoraldo Posted by fitzcoraldo
