Never ending story. Will somebody please get a grip and sort out this endless pit of money for lawyers and the legal hangers on. Disgraceful.

I came past there the other day, and of course the traffic came to a standstill as soon as we got off the Amesbury roundabout. And it was perfectly obvious that if you want a tunnel that's going to stop people stamping on their brakes as soon as they seen Stonehenge, that tunnel is going to have to start a very long way back or it isn't going to accomplish a thing. So I swear it's not even going to work, you couldn't make the tunnel long enough. Why would we even consider trashing that landscape just for the sake of a traffic queue? If you don't want people looking at the stones, just put a big bloody fence up next to the road, it would be minimally damaging and it would do the same trick as well if not better. It's an idea that makes no sense. Thank you for listening to my rant.

But you're right TE it's probably just about dragging the process out so people can make a bit of cash. Let's hope so and one day it will all go away
