Forty years ago, me and three pals found the scattered wreck of a WW2 aircraft just beyond the light at the right centre of your shot. It is a wide, flattish section of peaty pools, deep bog and rocky outcrops with a lot of boulder... just beyond the top of Glenshant Hill. Pathless and almost unwalkable. There was a leather flight helmet protruding from the peat. We didn't lift it. Memories...
Lovely way to end your trip.
It was, even in mixed weather it was a joy to be there.
Very groovy shot. There is a strange tall, natural rock pillar tucked away in the shadow just to the left of the crag in centre of your shot.

I often watch peregrines sweep the front of that crag.

Thank you, your Arran posts were an inspiration in this trip.
I wonder if the plane will be preserved in the peat. A bog body of the future.
