Long Barrow

Miscellaneous

Mentioned by Craig Weatherhill, in “Cornovia: Ancient Sites of Cornwall & Scilly” (Cornwall Books - 1985, revised 1997 & 2000) – “A large mound, 40m long, 10m wide and up to 2.2m high, with sides spread by ploughing. Its antiquity has yet to be proven, but it does not appear to be a tin streaming refuse mound, as some suspect. The south-western end of the mound has been truncated by a stream and a field wall.” pure joy Posted by pure joy
