With a sting fore and aft .

There are over 19,000 boats depicted on rock in Scandinavia .

Ah, it's the famous hunched worm army of Malmo. Evergreen Dazed Posted by Evergreen Dazed

The torn (down the spine ) torso , not the twisted , of Malmo ? tiompan Posted by tiompan

ooops sorry .

Even Scandi architecture is noir , still more when it's blanc ,
+ lateral half of a centipede .

Ah, I should have got that! In my defence, i've only been the once.

We spent quite a lot of time in Hollandia. Very good pastries and coffee.
I was twitching rather than twisting after that.

Is that deer dead or just upside down?

Never been in the Hollandia , looks good though .

Some folks say that upside down = dead , but inanimate objects are also found the other way up from others e.g. axes ,carts , boats etc . Maybe it wasn't upside down from the perspective of the engraver and she had just moved to a more comfortable place to engrave from . There is a wee boat just above the deer also upside down or....
Btw It looks to me like the deer was engraved after the big "circle" it stands on .

The upside down thing was a jokey comment, difficult to convey that without use of a smiley but I try to avoid using them..
But could well be the case, as you say.

I was over at Avebury yesterday, wandering around during the evening examining the stones (most probably looking very suspect indeed). The sun was really low in the sky, beautiful evening light. I briefly became very excited when I spotted what for all the world looked like an axehead carved into one of the stones. I won't say which. On closer inspection, and as the light changed, it was nothing of the sort, just an indistinct 'scooped' area. But for one lovely moment it really seemed to be there!

I'll check it out again next visit, although i'm certain it's nothing.

Or.. I could self publish a 'book' based upon it, and how it is "the key" to the entire "sacred landscape" that all the "experts" have missed?
Text should be finished by Monday. Printers on Tuesday. Advertised on a shitty blog and via obnoxious forum posts by Wednesday. Bobs yr uncle. ;) (Bugger, one creeped in).

Yes , know what you mean re. smileys .
I still have have problems using hi .

You could always pretend that you were not the author and do your own reviews here too .

i.e. "This guy * sounds really sensible and practical , thinks out of the box, just like our Great British ancestors (they weren't foreign were they ?) .
"This discovery is staggering and not an archaeo in sight "

"I bought one , getting one for the little lady too "

* n.b. can't do guy , chicks or movies either .
