Lovely, I'm assuming that's the inner & outer circles, but what does it say? I can make out bits of it but my? Latin teacher gave up:) Or are the curvy stones depicting the outer circle? Much edited soz. Or the inner stones? Anyway..) Posted by carol27

I don't think it is entirely a sketch done on location. The writing says "Stonehenges nyra amesbury in anglica fica de hybernia novi". There are a few other very early illuminated manuscript illustrations which are marvellous. Howburn Digger Posted by Howburn Digger
