Uffington White Horse Hill - June 21st

The lovely boyfriend and myself decided to escape all the crowds of Avebury and Stonehenge and found ourselves sat at the top of the Uffington Hill for an idyllic 5 hours.
The weather was stunning and the views were astounding. We could see the Whipsnade Lion in the Chilterns from where we were sat. That must be at least 80 miles away?!

It was amazingly quiet for such a symbolic day. We saw a few hippies with drums and bells, but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. I did some painting, while my boyfriend played his guitar, and it was one of the most special days I’ve had for a long time.
The only problem we found was trying to find a pub that was open at lunchtime.
