Aye and DB is doing a grand job of sharing it with us. I'm still amazed at how much of prehistory survives in Aberdeenshire in such an intensively farmed area. Haste ye back!! Your reports and pics have been well received in this corner of the Highlands.
Your are welcome, to the far right just below the treeline is the ancient settlement of Tillymuick. You could spend a lifetime looking at/for places between the Tap and Benn.
Good pic - nice perspective
Cheers Strathie, it makes for a nice setting doesn't it?
Sure does. Great trip for you BTW. DB will have you an adopted son of Drewland next!!
Ha ha! Well, we'll certainly be going back, there's a lifetime's worth of stuff to see there.

Craigshannoch (left), Mither Tap (hillfort middle) and Oxen Craig (cairn right). Oxen Craig is higher than the Mither Tap by 10 feet.
Many thanks Strathie. Drew deserves the credit for the site selection too, all of which were great choices but not "show" sites.
Thanks for the extra info there Drew.
