Surprisingly exposed site on a cold, wet and windy day. Didn’t stay too long eventually driven back by the sheets of rain and strong wind, will definitely return

It does have a slightly weird feel, this place, doesn't it? Not the most evocative of sites though like you when I visited the weather wasn't particularly kind.

I think the site had a lot more to offer, just difficult to find it when the rain is stinging your forehead, temperature not much above freezing and the wind trying to make you airborne, however, now I know who controls the weather I shall seek advice before my next visit.
Yep, it was nice there. Although your powers deserted us at Loanhead of Daviot I seem to remember :)
We needed to cool down so all was in control :-)
