Like the look of this one tsc. The area looks good from the map as well. Cornwall's such a long way to go but I'd love to visit again one day. I might pop by this circle in my daydreams tomorrow whilst I'm bored at work. Nice to see you had blue sky on your trip.
It's a really good one, very isolated feeling between rising ground. This was Midsummer's Eve and relentlessly boiling hot from about an hour after this. I walked on from here to Goodaver stone circle, which is much more difficult to get to, being about 6 miles from the nearest bus stop and surrounded by obstacles! By the time I got back to the bus stop I was utterly drained. I wish I was back there now though, it already seems like a distant dream.
My goodness, intrepid or what. So glad to hear you made it back to the bus stop. Beautiful evocative photo Alken. Must go back to Cornwall soon, it feels as though its on our doorstep but it really isn't.
Maybe foolhardy rather than intrepid given the heat that day :)
This circle is only a couple of miles from a bus stop, and if you went with a driver, only a few hundred yards from a road.
